The Purge: Breakout Review

An experience like no other! If you are looking for entertainment this summer, in both the physical and mental aspects, this is right up your alley. The Purge: Breakout will have you guessing, and pushing, your brain to its ultimate limits; as well as asking yourself, “Why did I agree to this?”

The Purge: Breakout is a unique concept. Instead of making your typical, cheesy, run-of-the-mill haunted house, Universal decided to take the high road and generated a simulation of the victims perspective throughout the Purge. You have 30 minutes to escape from the strongest antagonist in The Purge: Anarchy, Big Daddy. And Big Daddy loves to Purge.  Within the 30 minutes, you will have a series of clues and objects to help you escape from within the confines of Big Daddy’s basement. You will have to trust not only your team, but a victim that has been captured by him. I might add, the house is intense; armed to the T with security systems, puzzles, locks, and creepy situations that you must complete to move on. Now, I can’t tell you what happens at the end. In fact, I am writing this from beyond the grave, thanks to the blood thirsty killer, Big Daddy, himself.

I have to say, I am a huge fan of haunts, and this is NOT a haunt. Rather an extremely impressive maze that has you on your toes. Although, being warned and knowing that this isn’t a haunted house, I was astonished at how amazing it was put together. I was informed that only 1% of the people that enter the Breakout make it out alive. So I ask you this,

Will you be one of the lucky ones to survive, or will you be joining the rest of us in the mountain of dead corpses as consequence of going into The Purge?
