Rian Johnson’s ‘Knives Out’ Adds Yoda Actor Frank Oz to Star-Studded Ensemble

Rian Johnson’s upcoming murder mystery ‘Knives Out’ now has Frank Oz in the star-studded ensemble. Oz recently came back as Yoda in Johnson’s ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi.’

Here’s what Oz had to say about his two-day role, in an interview with IndieWire:

“He asked me to act in it and I said, ‘Are you out of your friggin’ mind?’ But he wanted me in there. The reason I do those, and I believe every director should do this, is I need to know how frightening it is in front of a camera. And if I screw up, I can learn how to help when I direct an actor. Every director should get in front of the camera and see how frightening it is and how much the actors need you.”

The (insane) cast also comprises of Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Lakeith Stanfield, Toni Collette, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Christopher Plummer, Ana de Armas, Jaeden Lieberher, Riki Lindhome, Katherine Langford, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Johnson was the sole writer and director of ‘Last Jedi,’ and the same applies to ‘Knives Out.’

Lionsgate will release the film on November 27th.
