Robert Downey Jr. Returning in ‘Black Widow’ as Tony Stark via Deleted ‘Civil War’ Footage

Sep 15, 2019

Yesterday, it was reported that Robert Downey Jr will once again grace the screen as Tony Stark in Marvel’s upcoming Black Widow film. While obviously many fans know that Tony Stark gave his life snapping his fingers in Avengers: Endgame and star Robert Downey Jr has gracefully left the role behind. It is being reported that this small cameo will be using unused deleted footage from Captain America: Civil War. Don’t expect Robert Downey Jr to return and film and footage for the upcoming prequel. This makes sense considering Black Widow also met her doom in Avengers: Endgame but her upcoming solo film takes place directly after Civil War.

Black Widow hits theaters May 2020
