The long-speculated crossover could be upon us, as we at GWW are hearing that the characters Cloak and Dagger will appear in the upcoming third season of ‘Marvel’s Runaways.’
Cloak and Dagger are currently in the Freeform series of the same name, which just aired its second season. Aubrey Joseph (‘Run All Night,’ ‘The Night Of’) plays Tyrone Johnson, aka Cloak, while Olivia Holt (‘Kickin’ It,’ ‘I Didn’t Do It’) is Tandy Bowen, aka Dagger.
Rhenzy Feliz, Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, and Allegra Acosta make up the titular Runaways.
Elizabeth Hurley (‘‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery,’ ‘The Royals’) will portray sorceress Morgan le Fay, the villain of this season. The two groups will come together to defeat this new adversary.
The second season of the series saw the Runaways leaving their home and their evil parents behind. They had to learn to live on their own, scavenge for food, and search for shelter. The series hails from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage (‘The O.C.,’ ‘Gossip Girl’).
The third season will be 10 episodes, down from the second season’s 13, but the same as the first season.
Meanwhile, there is no premiere date yet for the Hulu series.
