Seth Rogan’s ‘The Boys’ TV Series Adapation Begins Production This May

It was recently announced that the long-in-development comic adaption of The Boys from Seth Rogan, Evan Goldberg and Supernatural showrunner Eric Kripke had been picked up by Amazon Studios. This comes off the series sat in development hell over at Cinemax. This would also be Rogan’s and Goldberg’s second full series pick-up after the spectacular adaption of Preacher on AMC.

Here is the synopsis for The Boys:

In a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame, The Boys centers on a group of vigilantes known informally as “the boys,” who set out to take down corrupt superheroes with no more than blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.

It was revealed that production of the series would begin sometime in 2018 for a 2019 premiere. Now we at Omega Underground have learned that production on the show will begin May 14th, 2018 in Pittsburgh, PA and then move to Toronto, CA.


The Boys will stream exclusively on Amazon Prime in 2019
