As we previously reported, Vin Diesel‘s Bloodshot movie is expected to begin filming next month in Cape Town, South Africa. Others joining Diesel in the film include Eiza Gonzalez, Michael Sheen, Toby Kebbell and Sam Heughan.
Now, Sony Pictures has finally settled on a release date for the violent comic book film. It should also reaffirm it’s reported R-rating. They are now officially releasing Bloodshot on February 21, 2020.
Black Panther, John Wick: Chapter 2, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Deadpool previously took advantage of the limited competition February offers placing those films in positions to over perform at the box office.
Also, Sony has set a release date for Zombieland 2, which is set for release a few months earlier on October 11, 2019. The horror comedy will see the return of the cast and director Ruben Fleischer. We recently mentioned production was eyeing a start in January with possible locations such as Atlanta and Tennessee being looked at.
We’ll keep you posted on any new casting additions for Zombieland 2.
