Jul 26, 2018

Variety is now reporting that Sony’s Charlie’s Angels is indeed moving forward with Kristen Stewart, British newcomer Ella Balinska, and confirming previously reported candidate Naomi Scott. Director Elizabeth Banks will also play Bosley.

The film will focus on the next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie. Since the original films, the Townsend Agency has grown considerably and gone global, providing security and intelligence services to a wide variety of private clients with offices and highly-trained teams worldwide. This film focuses on one of those teams.

Our pals over at ThatHashtagShow first reported Aladdin actress Naomi Scott would take a role along with a shoot taking place between September and January in Berlin, Germany.

Omega Underground can confirm this production information as production offices in Germany are into prep and we can add that Istanbul, Turkey will be a second location on the film.

Once we get production dates we will update.

The most recent draft of the script was penned by The Girl In The Spider’s Web screenwriter Jay Basu.

Sony also has given the film a new release date for September 27th, 2019.
