‘Spider-man Homecoming’ loses Michael Keaton gains Robert Downey Jr.

Apr 22, 2016

imgresIt looks like any hopes of Michael Keaton playing the Vulture or any other MCU villain have just soared away.  According to reports, the iconic actor has stepped away from talks with Disney/Sony to appear in the Web Crawlers MCU debut: Spider-man Homecoming.  After weeks of excitement and Speculation that the former Batman could possibly be playing either the Vulture or Norman Osborn, you think that this would come as a bit of a blow to the geek community.

However, Marvel countered any of the Keaton woes within 24 hours by announcing that NEfrC1ajW0GJij_1_1Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man has been cast in Spider-man Homecoming.  It seems that Disney/Marvel can’t make a mistake, they counter every major DC announcement or bad news of their own with even bigger and better news.  It makes you wonder what other surprises Marvel has up its sleeves, just waiting to be unraveled to either counter DC/WB or for their next rainy day.  How about Captain Marvel casting news the week Suicide Squad comes out? Don’t be surprised!
