‘Stargirl’: Brian Stapf Cast As Wildcat In DC Series

Dec 13, 2018

The Justice Society has added another member!

‘The Walking Dead’ actor Brian Stapf has been tapped to play Ted Grant, the original Wildcat, in the upcoming DC Universe series ‘Stargirl.’

In ‘Stargirl,’ Grant is a former heavyweight boxer who became a vigilante, just like the Golden Age version of the character. This makes sense given that the other two JSA members confirmed to appear will also be based on their Golden Age counterparts.

Stapf’s previous credits include multiple episodes of ‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘The Purge’ show, and ‘Valor’ on The CW.

‘Stargirl’ hails from Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter. Brec Basinger is playing the titular character and is starring alongside Joel McHale (Starman) and Lou Ferrigno Jr. (Hourman).

The series follows Courtney Whitmore as she takes up the mantle of Stargirl to reassemble the Justice Society and stop villains from the past. It will premiere on DC Universe sometime in August of 2019.
