Geoff Johns is assembling the Justice Society!
‘Community’ alum Joel McHale has been tapped to play Starman in the upcoming DC Universe original series ‘Stargirl.’
McHale’s Starman seems to be an amalgamation of the original Starman Ted Knight and golden age hero Star-Spangled Kid. His name will be Starman but his character will be more in line with Star Spangled Kid, probably because Starman sounds a lot cooler.
‘Stargirl’ hails from Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter. Brec Basinger is playing the titular character with Yvette Monreal and Christopher James Barker also starring. It will premiere on DC Universe sometime in 2019.
