‘The Witch’ Director Reuniting With Anya Taylor-Joy On ‘Nosferatu’ Remake

Aug 15, 2017

Robert Eggers made one helluva feature film directorial debut with the horror movie The Witch, and he’s heading back to the genre this time focusing on vampires.

Variety reports he’ll be remaking the classic Nosferatu with Studio8 and is reuniting with Witch actress Anya Taylor-Joy. Eggers is said to be writing and directing the remake of the 1922 silent classic.

The 1922 silent movie followed the vampire Count Orlok of Transylvania, who wants to buy a house in Germany and becomes enamored of the real-estate agent’s wife.

A production start or release date wasn’t mentioned in the story.

The Witch remains one of the best modern horror films of the last twenty years and I highly recommend you seek it out.
