Tim Miller’s ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ Taps Composer Junkie XL (‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ ‘Deadpool’)

The upcoming sequel ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ now has composer Junkie XL onboard. Tim Miller is directing the film, which marks a reunion for Holkenborg since 2016’s ‘Deadpool.’

Some of Holkenborg’s popular scores include George Miller’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ Scott Cooper’s ‘Black Mass,’ Zack Snyder’s ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ and the newest ‘Tomb Raider.’ His most recent film is Robert Rodriguez’s ‘Alita: Battle Angel.’ Next, he has another Paramount film: ‘Sonic the Hedgehog,’ releasing November 8th.

The screenplay is (seemingly) from David S. Goyer (‘Blade,’ ‘Batman Begins,’), from a story by Miller and James Cameron (‘Titanic,’ ‘Avatar’).

Moreover, ‘Dark Fate’ brings series creator James Cameron back as a producer for the first time since 1991’s ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day.’ Speaking of, this film is only a sequel to ‘Judgment Day.’ Therefore, only the first two films are canon, while the other three films that came after don’t matter.

Further, the cast will have returning actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. Meanwhile, the newcomers include Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Natalia Reyes, and Diego Boneta.

Paramount will release the film on November 1st.
