Timothy Dalton set to play THE CHIEF In DC’s ‘Doom Patrol

James Bond is about to play his first superhero.

Deadline is reporting that Timothy Dalton has joined the upcoming DC Universe streaming service series ‘Doom Patrol’ in the lead role of Niles Caulder, AKA The Chief. Dalton is replacing Bruno Bichir who will be playing the character in ‘Titans.’ You can read the official description for the character below.

Dr. Caulder is a pioneer in medical science, searching the world over for those on the edge of death in need of a miracle. Brilliant but controversial, Dr. Caulder will stop at nothing to help those he believes are in need, including his collection of strange heroes known as The Doom Patrol.

‘Doom Patrol’ is hailing from Sarah Schechter, Greg Berlanti, and Geoff Johns, with Jeremy Carver writing and executive producing.

Alongside Dalton, the show will star Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Brendan Fraser as Robotman, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Joivan Wade as Cyborg, and Alan Tudyk as the villain ‘Mr. Nobody.’ Dwain Murphy, who will be playing Negative Man in ‘Titans’, confirmed on his Instagram story that he will not be reprising the role for ‘Doom Patrol.’
