‘Titans’ Cast ‘Big Hero 6’ Star Ryan Potter as Beast Boy

Oct 19, 2017

Today, DC Comics (via Deadline) finally announced the last member of their upcoming Titans live-action TV Series. According to their reports, Big Hero 6 voice actor Ryan Potter will play the role of the wise-cracking shape-shifting Beast Boy in the upcoming series. It’s a tad odd they went with a 22-year-old actor considering the casting call had early teens listed. However, Potter is of Asain-American descent which is something the company was strongly looking for during their search.

As a child, Potter’s Garfield “Gar” Logan contracted the lethal disease, Sakutia, while on an African expedition with his geneticist parents. Treated with an experimental drug, Gar survived but not without developing some bizarre side effects. Along with skin and hair turning permanently green, the wisecracking, fun-loving Beast Boy is able to reshape himself into any animal of any size he can imagine.

Potter will join Brendon Thwaites as Dick Grayson, Anna Diop as Starfire and Teagan Croft as the youngest member of the team Raven. Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly will also be featuring the series as Hawk & Dove. The series was written by Akiva Goldsman. We at Omega Underground revealed last month that production is expected to begin in November in Toronto.

Titans will stream exclusively on DC Digital in 2018
