‘Titans’ renewed for season two, characters already selected

Oct 3, 2018

You haven’t seen season one yet, but DC is ready to give you a spoonful of season two.

Tonight at the ‘Titans’ world premiere, Geoff Johns announced that the show had been picked up for a second season, and they have already decided which characters would be used. Based on what we know so far, it’s pretty easy to figure out which characters will be joining! Check out our theories below!

1. Cyborg

‘The First Purge’ star Joivan Wade will be bringing the character to life in the upcoming series ‘Doom Patrol,’ with the character description revealing that he has the option to join ‘Titans’ for its second season.

ASP SERIES REGULAR. May segue into Series regular on TITANS in subsequent seasons.

2. Superboy

While yet to be cast, That Hashtag Show revealed a character description that sounds an awful lot like Conner Kent.

Being referred to as “David”, he is a 20s-something Caucasian male with dark hair who would guest star in the 13th episode, which is the season 1 finale. “David” is described as a powerful individual who is merciless, so much so that he has recently unleashed chaos to the people who have been keeping “David” as a prisoner in a mysterious lab. When we find “David”, he will have recently have escaped this lab. Whoever we see in the role would have a series regular option for consecutive seasons of Titans.

3. Donna Troy

Not only is she getting her own episode, Donna is a long time original Titan in the comics but, once again, a character description seems to reveal that she may be joining up for good next season.

[RUTH GIBBS]FEMALE, 20S, CAUCASIAN OR LATINA OR MIDDLE EASTERN, OR ETHNICALLY AMBIGUOUS. CONFIDENT AND KICK ASS. EDUCATED. RECURRING GUEST STAR THIS SEASON WITH AN OPTION FOR SERIES REGULAR NEXT SEASON.

4. Kid Flash

With Wally West leaving ‘The Flash,’ what better time is there to put one of the original Titans on ‘Titans’?! Actors like KJ Apa would fit the role perfectly and it makes a lot of sense to have a set of Original Titans and a set of New Titans, like the comics do.

5. Bumblebee

Since the Titans-verse seems to be focused on ‘Titans’ and ‘Doom Patrol,’ it only seems fair to include another member of both teams. She and Beast Boy would have a lot to talk about. And with Young Justice also becoming more prominent again, we could have another character from there make the jump to live-action.

Who do you want to see join the Titans in their sophomore sesson?
