UPDATE:’Game of Thrones’ Director Alik Sakharov To Helm ‘Witcher’ Episodes – Will Also Shoot In Slovakia and South Africa

Netflix’s Witcher series is slowly coming together and we have a few production updates to share.

Omega Underground has word that Witcher’s executive producer Alik Sakharov will also be directing an undisclosed amount of episodes. He’s previously directed shows such as Game of Thrones, Marco Polo, Black Sails, Boardwalk Empire, The Americans, House of Cards, and Ozark.

Filming is said to begin filming on November 5th and we hear it will wrap sometime in May.

Locations for the fantasy series includes Budapest, Hungary along with Slovakia and South Africa.

The series is expected to drop on Netflix in fall/winter next year.
