Valorant and Apex Legends are two titles that are of sheer brilliance and are first-person shooters but they have their own areas in which they excel. Both the games feel amazing with their gameplay as well as the graphics but which one is actually better and worth your precious time?
There’s been a lot of debate around these games especially since both of these games have introduced new and awesome features to the already popular battle royale genre. And in order to find out which one is better than the other, we have to take a deep dive into the defining features of these titles.
Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale shooter that is ever-changing, be it the map or its legends. The game is free-to-play but it works like every other multiplayer game which lets you customize your legends with cosmetics and weapon skins for real money. Apex Legend features 60 players matches which could either make 20 trios or 30 duo’s which fight to be the last squad standing.
Whereas Valorant falls in a genre where you find games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Overwatch. Unlike other BR games, Valorant is more focused on the team-play, where one team has to plant the explosives while capturing as many zones as they can and the other team has to stop the explosive from going off, which makes for very intense and strategy-driven gameplay.
So in terms of gameplay, both of these games provide a very different experience FPS shooter experience that all comes down to the personal preference of the player. If you want more CSGO like hardcore and intense gameplay, you might wanna stick to Valorant but for a more Fortnite kinda gameplay, you should definitely aim for Apex Legends.
Starting with the customizations, which is like a very important feature of any BR game. I think both of these games offer pretty similar kind of character and weapons customization options for the players to enjoy. Apex Legends is a free-to-play game but it works like every other multiplayer game which lets you customize your legends with cosmetics and weapon skins for real money.
Apex Legends features a total of 14 playable characters and each of them has its own set of skills and abilities that are essential for winning these intense battles. You can even buy characters for cheap by getting your hands on character Gibralter or Lifeline cd keys.
Now if we talk about Valorant, it too has special characters with special abilities that are called Agents and there is a total of 15 playable agents in the game. And in terms of customizations, you can have them customized with a variety of cosmetics available for both the characters or agents and also the weapons available in the game.
Both of these might be different in terms of gameplay but when it comes to graphics these two titles are more alike than any other game on the market. Both of these titles have similar cartoony kinda visuals that are pretty far from realistic graphics.
They both have the same look and feel, which is why a lot of players find both of these titles to be similar when in reality these two games are very different from one another.
Both of the games have their similarities and their differences but what we feel is Apex Legend is a game that involves players to their very bits. The game asks of you to know almost every little piece of information that you can gather about the map, about your enemy, from bullet velocity and drop to tracking movement of 60 players on the map all at once.
Apex Legend rewards players who can keep a track of everyone’s mags, cooldowns, consumables, and every other necessary information while Valorant feels like just another shooter that’s all about a high-end rig and a good internet connection.
However, I would shy to admit how important agility is in Valorant, it’s all about how fast you are with little reaction time and strong flicks. Both of the games look visually stunning but Apex Legends for me has always seemed more fun and it never ceases to feel as fresh as new. While a few hours into Valorant you already feel a little tired of looking at the same old settings and scenarios which does make Apex Legends players way more loyal to the game and that is reason enough to decide which one is better.
The debate will always go on according to a player’s own preferences but this is what we think about both games. And as for the question of which one is better than the other, I don’t think it’s about being better, Valorant has a very different gameplay experience than Apex Legends and it all just comes down to players’ personal preference.
As I mentioned earlier, if you want to experience a hardcore CSGO like gunplay, Valorant might just be the best option for you but if you are more into Fortnite kinda BR Game, Apex Legends definitely is the title to go for!
