It seems like every week brings us another peek into the legitimacy and impressiveness of Esports. At the ESL Pro League Season 2, pro players Xarakamaka and st9rm traded blows in a tightly contested match of Mortal Kombat X.
Some of the highlights included combos executed to brutal perfection and some truly amazing block strings by Xarakamaka (st9rm has some great ones, well). Yet, those weren’t the even the best parts. Perhaps one of the greatest occurrences we can witnesses in any sport is the COMEBACK, and boy, was this bout full of them. Almost every time you’d thing one of the players would be done for, they’d come back and win the match. It truly was a spectacular series.
The fact that each competitor had such a hard time putting his opponent away wasn’t a case of “choking” but indicative of the kind of skill possessed by these two. Do yourself a favor and watch this match. It’s got to be one of the best matches we’ve seen recently.
