Ewan McGregor Crashes D23 as ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Series Heads to Disney+

Several weeks ago it was announced that the fan-favorite Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi will finally get another treatment after his stint in the prequel trilogy. Actor Ewan McGregor was rumored to be returning to the role. A role he has for many years said he would love to return to on film. However, things took a turn as Lucasfilm decided instead of a feature film they will give the Jedi his very own series on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.

Now today at D23 actor Ewan McGregor along with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy crashed the Star Wars section of the Disney+  panel to reveal he will indeed be returning to the role after almost 15 years. It was also revealed that the scripts for the upcoming show have already been completed and production will begin next year.
