As the date approaches for MC3 2022, the announcements start flowing with great excitement. With the previous announcement of William Shatner, Motor City Comic Con has given us two more guests. Christopher Eccleston and Alan Ritchson will be attending the convention in 2022
English-born Christopher Eccleston has been acting for several decades however most will know him for Doctor Who. Eccleston portrayed the Ninth Doctor alongside Billie Piper’s Rose Tyler during the first season of the revived series in 2005. While his time on Doctor Who was only one season, it was one that garnered a following and allowed the show to continue onward into the present. Other memorable films and shows include Gone in 60 Seconds, Cracker, The Leftovers, and Thor: The Dark World.
Alan Ritchson is a relatively newer actor yet he’s already been grabbing exceptional roles. While he wasn’t seen, Ritchson was the voice of Raphael in both of the recent live-action remakes of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He also has acting credits in several other big-name titles such as The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Titans, and Blue Mountain State. Most recently he’s playing the lead in Amazon Prime’s series Reacher, based on the character from the books of Lee Childs. Season 1 has just recently released to huge success and a second season is already in the works.
Eccleston will be appearing at Motor City Comic Con on Saturday only while Ritchson will be there all three days (Friday through Sunday). Ticket are on-sale now via their website.
