Over the last couple of months, Omega Underground had been covering Rambo 5 revealing specific character/story details and exclusively reported in August that Get The Gringo direct Adrian Grunberg had been hired.
THR is now supporting our director scoop confirming Grunberg along with their own reporting that actress Paz Vega has been cast.
Vega will play Carmen Delgado, a reporter who covers the Mexican drug trade and teams up with Rambo after her younger half-sister is kidnapped.
She’ll play Carmen Delgado, a female reporter that teams up with John Rambo. This would also confirm our previous character detail scoop about Carmen’s backstory and role in the film.
Filming is currently underway.
A release date has yet to be announced.
