Looks like Warner Bros’ ‘Matrix’ movie is heating up!
The GWW is hearing but cannot confirm that Michael B. Jordan is going to star in a new ‘Matrix’ movie from director Lana Wachowski. The movie has been in development under the codename “Project Ice Cream.” The film is in active development and poised to shoot in Chicago, Illinois. Zak Penn wrote the script.
Michael B. Jordan has been loosely attached to the project for quite some time. He is known for his roles in the ‘Creed’ movies and ‘Black Panther.’
Lana Wachowski co-directed the original ‘The Matrix’. The pic starred Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
The franchise follows a group of heroes who fight a desperate war against machine overlords that have enslaved humanity in an extremely sophisticated virtual reality system.”
No release date for the new film has been set.
