Sony’s ‘Jumanji’ Sequel Hires ‘Thor: The Dark World’ VFX Supervisor

Dwayne Johnson’s next film after Hobbs and Shaw wraps will be Sony’s next Jumanji sequel. The studio is aiming to get filming going in the new year as prep is in full swing.

Omega Underground has learned they’ve added visual effects supervisor Mark Breakspear, who is best known for working on Thor: The Dark World.

They’ve already added Aquaman production designer Bill BrzeskiĀ and Captain Marvel art director Andrew Max Cahn.

As we previously reported filming is set to begin on January 21st. Filming is expected to take place in Atlanta and Hawaii with a wrap date of April 26th.

Sony Picture has given the film a release date of December 13th, 2019.
