The Top Twitch Gamers to Watch
Twitch and video gaming streams have exploded in popularity over the past few years. Some of the biggest streamers can be found on the platform, and it has become the go-to place to see professional or highly skilled gamers in action.
While the platform is jam-packed with thousands of creators, some stand out from the crowd. This is a list of the top video game streamers that you can find on Twitch.
Shroud
Probably one of the most well-known streamers often called the King of Twitch, Shroud is known worldwide for his almost inhuman reflexes and his ability to pull off shots that you wouldn’t believe are real.
While most streamers go through phases of only playing one game, Shroud plays whatever he wants. However, FPS games are definitely where he shines. His aiming ability, as well as how well he can read an enemy or team, is almost unmatched.
He gained a name for himself while being one of the deadliest players in CS GO history, but you can now find him playing Warzone, survival games, strategy games, and everything in between. It helps that he is world-class at everything he tries.
Ninja
Ninja rose to fame just before Fortnite exploded into the mainstream. He was a one-game man who dominated the Fortnite lobbies. With millions of followers on Twitch and Youtube, he is one of the most successful streamers ever.
He did take time away from Twitch, having signed a contract to join Mixer, but when Mixer went under he made his way back to Twitch. Much like Shroud, he is now more of a variety streamer, enjoying League of Legends, Warzone, and other games.
Dakotaz
Dakotaz isn’t a name that many would be familiar with, but you should be. An OG streamer who has seen success across many games, but made his way into the public eye through Fortnite.
His calm nature mixed with his lethal ability with a mouse in hand has made him a very recognizable name in the game. He is also credited with being a streamer that has helped many of the huge names succeed, most notably, Tfue.
Tfue
Tfue versus Ninja is like the Jordan or Lebron debate in basketball. At one point, Tfue was the main man on Twitch, with his biggest rival being Ninja. They were constantly fighting to be the biggest name on the platform.
Tfue was once regarded as the best Fortnite player, but like most streamers, he has moved away from the game and can now be found decimating Warzone lobbies, or having a quiet time in a Minecraft world.
Nickmercs
Nickmercs is regarded as the best controller player on the platform. Once again, rising to fame in the Fortnite lobbies, Nick was already dominating video game tournaments in the early days, specifically on Gears of War.
He was once someone who played second-fiddle to the likes of Ninja and Tfue, he now regularly gets more viewers than either of them and is one of the leading and loudest voices in the Warzone community.
TimTheTatman
Tim can be classified as one of the older streamers. He is a dad who often shares screen time with his son, but don’t let his cuddly bear persona trick you – he can be a demon when it comes to FPS games.
He often teams up with other big streamers like Nickmercs, Ninja, Dr. Lupo, Cloak, and many others, and is someone more about the fun than he is about winning. This is a great change of pace from other streamers but doesn’t take away from the fact that he is one of the most loved on the platform.
Asmongold
While FPS streamers get a lot of attention, there is one role-playing streamer that has little competition. Asmongold often draws in 60, 70, even 100 thousand viewers who tune in to watch his World of Warcraft streams.
A very unassuming man, Asmon mixes in some politics and opinions into his streams, allowing for proper discussion and debate set to the backdrop of the most successful MMORPG ever created.
Pokimane
Female streamers are still struggling to make a name for themselves in the gaming niche on Twitch, but Pokimane is most definitely leading the charge. Her streams vary in topic, but she spends a lot of her time gaming with other big names.
During the Among Us explosion, she was playing with everyone from Myth, to Corpse Husband and Pewdiepie, bringing in tens of thousands of viewers in the process. She also does charity work and uses her stream for more than just her success.
Dr. Lupo
Speaking of charity, Dr. Lupo is easily one of the most genuine and caring streamers on the platform. He was the one that drove charity streams up to where they are now, oftentimes doing 24-hour streams and challenges, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars in the process.
Don’t let his gentle exterior fool you though, he is a beast in Escape from Tarkov, was a massive Fortnite player, and is still one of the most well-respected streamers on the platform.
