UPDATE: ‘Birds of Prey’ Start Date Set For Mid-January In Los Angeles

Earlier in the month, Omega Underground revealed that Warner Bros. was eyeing Los Angeles and Atlanta/Savannah as filming locations for Cathy Yan’s Birds of Prey movie.

We have now learned that the start date for the DC Comics film, as Birds of Prey is expected to begin it’s shoot on January 15th in Los Angeles.

HeroicHollywood previously revealed that January would be the start month.

The next step will be to assemble a crew and cast the rest of the roles in the film.

TheWrap the other day confirmed our reporting from early June that Huntress and Black Canary would be among the Birds of Prey lineup. They added that characters Cassandra Cain and Detective Renee Montoya will also be featured in the film, while Batgirl won’t end up in the film.

Omega Underground previously revealed that Todd Phillip’s Joker movie starring Joaquin Phoenix is on track to begin filming this September in New York City which was confirmed by THR. The film is in full prep-mode at the moment.

Warner Bros. seems to moving at a good pace to knock out these movies.

A release date has yet to be set but there is a good chance it could be released in 2020.
